City of Bend – Bend Surface Water Project

On August 16, 2012 Emery & Sons Construction was the apparent low bidder on the Bend Surface Water Improvement Project – Bid Package 101 & 102. Bid Package 101 is to be constructed on USFS Road 4603, west of Bend, Oregon. The project includes the installation of approximately 13,200 lf of 36″ HDPE pipe of various DR, 1700 lf of 30″ restrained joint Ductile Iron Pipe, an aerial stream crossing, including epoxy coated and heat traced welded steel pipe and an open-cut stream crossing of Tumalo Creek, stream diversion, miscellaneous select demolition, installation of pipeline appurtenances, hydrostatic testing and flushing.

Bid Package 102 is to be constructed west of Bend, Oregon. The project includes the installation of approximately 37,000 LF of 30-inch welded steel cement mortar lined and coated pipeline, ARV valves, and hydrants. The work on USFS Rd. 4603 will include coordination with Deschutes County, USFS, City of Bend as well as other authorities having juridiction. Schedule is subject to an in water work window permitted by Department of State Lands and the Army Corps of Engineers.
