City of Portland – Kenton Sewer Rehabilitation

Emery & Sons began construction in late summer 2014 on the Kenton Sewer Repair Project. This project replaced about 7,000 LF feet of public sewer pipes, that were between 80 and 90 years old and failing due to age. The work included repairing about 2,200 feet of existing service laterals that connect houses and businesses from the curb to the public sewer in the street, and constructing another 260 feet of new service laterals. The intent of this project was to help protect the public and the environment by reducing the possibility of costly breaks, leaks, blockages and sewage releases to homes, businesses and streets.
