City of Portland – South Airport Basin-Phase IV Pump Stations

This project consisted of construction two new pump stations and associated site work and frontage improvements for the City of Portland. The scope of work included, but was not limited to:

At the N.E. 42nd Ave. Pump Station: Design and construction of a nearly 40-foot deep caisson with tremie seal to serve as a new 8-foot inside diameter wet well; Construction of a discharge valve vault including associated piping; Supply and installation of submersible sewage pump, including valves, piping, electrical and controls; Installation of 1 – 15HP submersible pumps that are capable of 300 GPM; Construction of a new pump station, including separate generator room and all structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems; Supply and installation of new backup generator with automatic transfer switches, fuel tank and exhaust system; Construction of new odor control biofilter vault and blower fans and associated ductwork, electrical and controls; New water service, electrical service and communication service systems; Construction of approximately 108-feet of 12-inch HDPE influent sewer pipe and manhole using permanent sheet pile shoring and tremie seal; Construction of pervious pavement, swales, and fencing.

At the N.E. 47th Ave. Pump Station: Design and construction of cased secant piles with tremie seal to support a new 38-foot deep wet well; Design and construction of a new precast 10-foot inside diameter wet well; Construction of a discharge valve vault including associated piping; Installation of 2 – 20HP submersible pumps that are capable of 480 GPM; Construction of a new pump station, including separate generator room, eco roof and all structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems; Supply and installation of new generator with automatic transfer switched, fuel tank and exhaust system; Construction of new ofor control biofilter vault and blower fans and associated ductwork, electrical and controls; New water service, electrical service and communication service systems; Construction of new 8-inch and 10-inch ductile iron influent sewer pipe and manhole; Construction of approximately 151-feet of 6-inch ductile iron force main sewer pipe and connection to existing force main in the roadway; Construction of asphalt driveway, sidewalk, swales, retaining wall and fencing; Frontage improvements
